*In the video, I refer to using metallic glaze by Valspar… I’m not sure if this product is still available. However, feel free to use other metallic glazes in the same fashion. Most are water-based and easy to work with.
- Plastic Wood Filler
- Makita Orbital Sander
- Sanding Disc for sander
- Denatured Alcohol
- Spray Bottle
- 220 grit sandpaper
- Paper towels or baby wipes
- Purdy XL Cub paint brush
- Zinsser Primer 123 tintable
- Modern Masters Shimmer in a warm silver
- Blue Painters Tape
- Wooster 1/4 in nap roller
- Roller Handle
- Paint Tray
- Metallic glaze of your choice (water-based only)
- Modern Masters Master Clear topcoat
It’s important to understand that everyone’s finish will be different. No two finishes look the same. Be patient with yourself and go over each step of the video as you begin. I learn better from repetition and having a video to replay and review can be very helpful.
